This promotional tool for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie offers little we'd consider exciting. Upon launch, you see SpongeBob against an orange background, After a few seconds, he rapidly expands to fill the whole screen. Once that's done, you simply see a message hawking the movie, but the scene never replays itself. SpongeBob SquarePants Screensaver provides very few features, and, although you will find a box for muting the sound, we never heard anything even when we left it unchecked. Small children who are head over heels about this cartoon can probably overlook this screensaver's flaws, but older kids will find themselves bored after a few runs.

Developer's Description

Put SpongeBob SquarePants on your desktop.
There's trouble in Bikini Bottom: someone has stolen King Neptune's crown, and it looks like Mr. Krabs is the culprit. Though he's just been passed over for the promotion of his dreams, SpongeBob stands with his boss, and, with his best pal Patrick, sets out on a treacherous mission to Shell City to reclaim the crown and save Mr. Krabs's life. The journey takes SpongeBob and Patrick through some of the darker recesses of the ocean floor, including the Thug Tug, a rough-and-tough place where few fish dare to visit, and a freakishly massive, monster-filled trench.
